How to handle food intolerance
There are a whole lot of people in the world who have food intolerances. If you think that you might be one of them, then there are a few important things that you’ll need to do. Everything should start off with a visit to your doctor to discuss the potential food intolerance. Your doctor will be able to help show you the right direction to take things based on your own personal situation and the type of food intolerance you think you might have.

One of the first things your doctor will probably have you do is some sort of test. Tests for food intolerances usually involve a period of time where you do not eat the food in question at all. After this test period, you’ll consume some of the food in question and observe any effects that it has on your body. Be sure to take detailed notes on a daily basis so that you won’t have to rely on memory alone. Once your testing is over, your doctor will have recommendations and what to do from that point.

If it’s thought that you do have a food intolerance, then you’ll have to make adjustments in your diet. While you’ll obviously need to avoid the food that is causing you problems, you’ll also have to compensate for lost nutrition. This requires a bit of strategy and planning at times so that you can make sure that your body is getting everything it needs to function properly.

Alternatively, if going through all this seems like a hassle there are food intolerance blood test available, these require that a blood sample be sent to a lab, but once the results are in you will have a much more accurate report giving you your level of intolerance to a multitude of foods.
